Laptop

One day all girls gathered together, sitting around the table, sipping their tea and munching the cookies. Just as always.

Futaba looked around the room, taking in the sight of her friends gathered together once again. She smiled, feeling a sense of warmth and comfort in their company. "So, what should we do today?" she asked, breaking the silence.

Kana, who had been quietly petting Kuro, spoke up. "Futaba, I know, your laptop is pretty old."

Futaba nodded, "Yeah, it's been acting up lately. What about it?"

"Well," Kana continued, "I have an idea right now. What if we could transform into various laptop components, and you gather us together as a new laptop? We can help you with your computer needs before you will be able to buy a new one."

Futaba's eyes widened in surprise at Kana's suggestion. "That's a great idea!" she exclaimed. "But do you think we can really transform into laptop components?"

Haruka, who had been listening intently, spoke up. "I think it's possible. With our magical force cores, we can change our body composition and structure completely. We just need to figure out how to transform into specific components."

Fumi, who had been fidgeting with her nanomachines, spoke up. "I think I can help with that. My nanomachines allow me to transform into anything, and I can modify other people's bodies too. Maybe I can help everyone transform into specific components?"

Alice, who had been quietly listening, added, "And I can help with the technical details. I know a lot about computers and can make sure everything is connected correctly."

Kana said, "Alice, with your knowledge, you can be a laptop motherboard, connecting all components together. Dark Crystal, my magic companion, can be an external power supply for our laptop. Kuro, as a cat, will be a mouse, this is a nice pun."

Haruka said, "And I will be a CPU. I remember the time, years ago, when I worked as one of the CPUs in the school server."

Chiaki smiled, "Then I will be a RAM module. My memory is short but I'll make sure it's fast and efficient! It suits me well."

Alice said, "My magical companion Shining Heart will be our power source - a Li-Ion accumulator. And you, Kana?"

Kana thought for a moment before replying, "I will be the screen. I'm stylish and pretty looking, just like a laptop screen should be!"

Futaba smiled, "We still need SSD storage, a keyboard, and a laptop case. How about you, Fumi, Ryoko, and Hayami? Fumi, I think a laptop case suits you well with your nanomachines skill."

Fumi nodded, "Sure, I can transform into a laptop case. And as for the SSD storage, I think Ryoko and Hayami can help. They're always coming up with creative ways to use my nanomachines."

Ryoko and Hayami grinned mischievously, eager to help. "I can transform into the SSD storage, and Ryoko will be a keyboard, it suits her well with her submissive tendencies," said Hayami.

Futaba giggled at Hayami's comment, "Well, that sounds like a plan. Let's get to work, girls!"

Fumi morphed into a gooey blob of nanomachines, engulfing Ryoko and Hayami.

Hayami's limbs slowly retracted into her body, while her torso and head lost their thickness. Slowly her form became squarish and flat, like a small computer board, with computer chips on her sides. Hayami became an SSD board in M.2 form factor with NVME interface.

Ryoko's now limbless form was flattened too, and a set of keys emerged from her surface. She flattened significantly, flattening in the form of a laptop keyboard - a thin board with keys on the upper side.

As Fumi continued to mold and shape Ryoko and Hayami, her body became too flattened and squarish. Soon she was in the shape of a laptop lower case, with all required screws, mounting holes, and cutouts for the various components.

The group worked together seamlessly, each person transforming into their chosen component and fitting together perfectly.

Kana's used her magic on Alice. Alice's form shivered and started to change.

Alice's body flattened, taking on the shape of a motherboard. Her skin became an original sleek white color, with intricate circuitry etched into her surface. She could feel the power surging through her, and she knew that she was playing a vital role in creating the perfect laptop. A cooling system appeared too on her surface, keeping her components from overheating.

Haruka's body changed next, taking on the form of a powerful CPU. She became small and square, with contact pads on her lower side, just like a typical CPU.

Chiaki's transformation came next, and she transformed into a module of RAM. Her body became a rectangular strip with multiple chips on it, just like a SO-DIMM RAM module with contact pads on one of her edges.

The next one was Kana. Kana's transformation was the most dramatic of all. Her body contorted and stretched, and her skin shimmered with a bright light. As the light faded, Kana transformed into a laptop screen. Her skin had become a smooth, flat surface with pixels that would create the images on the screen. Her eyes had become the web cameras on the top of her screen, and she felt a sense of pride in her new form.

Kuro had also transformed, taking on the form of a small mouse that would serve as the laptop's input device. He was black and sleek, as this color suits him perfectly.

Dark Crystal and Shining Heart flashed together, and with the power of their combined magic, they transformed into the laptop's power sources.

Dark Crystal became an external power supply, with a squarish form, equipped with a long power cord. He was now able to transform power from a wall socket to a voltage that the laptop could use.

Shining Heart had transformed into a Lithium-Ion battery, with a sleek and flat shape, ideal for integrating into the laptop's design. She felt a sense of excitement at being a vital component of the laptop.

I would recommend trying the Okinawa soba, which is a noodle soup dish made with pork and bonito broth, topped with green onions and kamaboko fish cake. Another popular dish is goya champuru, which is a stir-fry dish with bitter melon, tofu, and pork. And for something sweet, you should try the Okinawa zenzai, a red bean soup with mochi balls."

Futaba's mouth watered as she listened to the waiter's recommendations. She thanked him and ordered the Okinawa soba and goya champuru. As she waited for her food to arrive, she took out her laptop and continued working on her project.

Futaba smiled and said, "I order Okinawa soba and zenzai."

The waitress smiled and replied, "Excellent choices! I'll get that right away for you."

Futaba opened her laptop while waiting for her food, and checked her email to see if any important messages had come in. She saw a message from her sempai, asking about her progress on a research project she had been working on.

Futaba quickly typed a response to her professor, explaining her progress and outlining her next steps. She sent the email and closed her laptop, feeling relieved to have completed the task.

When her food arrived, Futaba put her laptop away and enjoyed her delicious meal of Okinawa soba and zenzai. She savored the unique flavors of the local cuisine, feeling grateful for the opportunity to experience new things on her trip.

After the meal, she decided to return to the hotel and get some sleep. Futaba walked back to her hotel, feeling satisfied and full from the delicious local food she had just eaten. She put her laptop on the nightstand and set the alarm for the next morning.

As she crawled into bed, she reflected on her day and how powerful her custom laptop was. From the neural network training to the Pixiv story upload, and even the simple logic games during the flight, her laptop had been a reliable companion throughout her travels.

Feeling grateful for her custom laptop and its amazing components, Futaba closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

The next day Futaba visited local souvenir shops. Futaba walked around the souvenir shops, admiring the variety of unique items on display. She picked up some local snacks, handmade pottery, and a traditional Okinawan fabric called bingata. She also found a small figurine of a shisa, a lion-like creature that is said to protect against evil spirits, which she decided to bring back home as a cute reminder of her trip.

As she shopped, she also took the opportunity to check her email and respond to some important work messages using her laptop. She was glad that her custom laptop was lightweight and easy to carry around, making it convenient for her to work on the go.

After a few hours of exploring and shopping, Futaba decided to take a break and grab a quick snack at a nearby cafe. She opened her laptop and browsed through some of her favorite websites, enjoying the peace and quiet of the cafe's atmosphere.

She checked the rating of her stories on Pixiv and looked for user comments.

Futaba opened her web browser and navigated to Pixiv. She logged in and checked the rating and comments on her stories. She smiled as she saw that her stories had received positive ratings and comments from users. Some users even asked her to write more stories in the same genre.

Futaba was happy to see that her work was appreciated and decided to write more stories in her free time. She knew that with her trusty custom laptop and its powerful components, she could continue to create and share her stories with the world.

As Futaba continued her remote work on Google TPU's, she marveled at the processing power of the data center. She knew that her custom laptop was powerful and efficient, but it couldn't compare to the sheer scale and speed of the TPU's.

Still, she was proud of her own contributions to the field of machine learning and AI. With the help of her custom laptop and its amazing components, she had been able to create some truly innovative and impressive projects.

As she continued to work, she couldn't help but feel grateful for her laptop and the incredible teamwork that had gone into creating it. She knew that without the unique contributions of each component, her work would not be possible.

One week later, Futaba returned to her private home in Tokyo. She took a lot of pictures of the sea, hotel resort, nature, and Okianwa cuisine with her laptop's camera and stored them in the SSD storage.

As soon as she arrived at her home, she plugged the laptop into the wall socket. She wanted to upload the pictures to her cloud storage and share them with her friends and family.

Futaba opened her laptop and accessed her cloud storage account. She selected the pictures she wanted to upload and initiated the upload process.

As the upload was completed successfully, Futaba felt relieved and happy knowing that her amazing custom laptop had once again worked seamlessly to achieve her goal. She smiled as she thought about the memories she had captured in Okinawa and the joy she would share with her loved ones through the pictures.

Futaba was proud of her custom laptop and its components, which had served her well on her trip to Okinawa and beyond. She knew that with their powerful processing capabilities and efficient design, they would continue to help her in her programming projects and personal tasks for years to come. She felt grateful for the teamwork and synergy that her laptop's components demonstrated, and she knew that they were an integral part of her daily life.

The next week Futaba visited the local computer store. As Futaba walked through the aisles of the computer store, she saw rows of laptops and desktops from various brands and models. She was curious to see what was new in the market.

She remembered, that she wanted to buy another laptop.

Futaba approached a sales representative and asked, "Hi, can you show me some of the latest laptop models you have?"

The sales representative smiled and replied, "Sure, we have a great selection of laptops from various brands. What are your requirements in terms of performance, display size, and budget?"

Futaba thought for a moment and replied, "I'm looking for a laptop with a fast processor, a dedicated graphics card, at least 16GB of RAM, and a 15-inch display. My budget is around 2000 USD."

The sales representative nodded and walked her over to the section with laptops that fit her requirements. She showed Futaba different models and explained their features and benefits.

After some research and comparisons, Futaba finally chose a new laptop that met her needs. She felt excited to try out the new laptop and see how it compared to her custom-built one.

As she walked out of the store with her new laptop in hand, she felt grateful for the knowledge and assistance of the sales representative and the amazing technology available to her.

Futaba was excited to try out her new Lenovo ThinkPad. She unboxed it carefully, taking in its sleek design and impressive specs.

The ThinkPad was equipped with an Intel Core i9 processor, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 2TB SSD storage. It had a 15-inch 4k IPS display and a backlit keyboard. The ThinkPad also came with a fingerprint scanner and a built-in webcam for added security and convenience.

She compared it with her old custom laptop. Futaba put two laptops on her desk.

As Futaba compared her new Lenovo ThinkPad with her custom laptop, she noticed some distinct differences. While her custom laptop had been carefully crafted with each component selected and assembled by hand, the Lenovo ThinkPad was a mass-produced machine with a standard set of components.

However, the ThinkPad's specs were impressive, with a powerful processor and ample memory and storage space. The 4k IPS display was also a step up from her custom laptop's Full HD screen.

Futaba appreciated the convenience of the built-in fingerprint scanner and webcam, and the backlit keyboard was a nice touch for working in low-light conditions.

Overall, Futaba was pleased with her new purchase and looked forward to putting it to the test with her programming projects and daily use.

Futaba kept working from her home on the Google TPU project, using both laptops.

Futaba was able to leverage the power of her new Lenovo ThinkPad with its high-end specs and also continued to use her custom laptop with its unique and efficient components. She was able to seamlessly switch between the two laptops depending on the task at hand, allowing her to be more productive and efficient in her work.

She continued to work on her Google TPU project, testing and optimizing her firmware for the tensor processing units. With her powerful laptops and her skills as a programmer, Futaba was able to make great progress in her work and was excited to see the results.

At the weekend, Futaba took her custom laptop and lay down on the couch with it. She checked the laptop's system chat.

  Futaba typed, "Report current status."

Alice, the motherboard, replied through the system chat, "All components are currently functioning normally, Futaba. CPU Haruka is idling at 2% usage, while Chiaki has 4GB of RAM in use. Kana is displaying the desktop with a resolution of 1920x1080, and Hayami has 750GB of free space remaining on the SSD. Ryoko and Kuro are both ready to handle any input, and Shining Heart is currently charged 85%. Dark Crystal is not connected, as we are currently running on battery power."

Futaba entered 'lshw' command once again. As Futaba typed in the 'lshw' command, the system console returned a hardware list of her custom laptop's components, which included:

CPU: Intel Core i7-1165G7 CPU @ 2.80GHz 'Haruka'

  RAM: 16GB DDR4 SODIMM 2666 MHz 'Chiaki'

Motherboard: 'Alice' board, Intel HM570 chipset

Screen: 15.6-inch Full HD IPS LED-backlit display 'Kana'

SSD: 1TB NVMe SSD storage 'Hayami'

Keyboard: Full-size keyboard with backlit keys 'Ryoko'

  Mouse: Wireless mouse 'Kuro'

Battery: Shining Heart 6-cell Li-Ion battery

Power Supply: Dark Crystal external power source

Case: 16in x 12in x 2in lightweight and durable case with nanomachines for added repair and maintenance 'Fumi'

Futaba smiled as she looked at the list, feeling proud of her custom laptop and the amazing teamwork that went into creating it. She then closed the system console and continued working on her project.

  Good end

She typed in the system chat, "Are you sure, that you are laptop components?"

The laptop components did not respond to Futaba's question, as they were hardware components and not capable of understanding human language or responding to text commands. However, Futaba could verify that they were indeed laptop components by checking their specifications and physically inspecting them.

As Futaba opened Fumi, the laptop case, she could see the inner workings of her custom laptop. She could see the various components, including the CPU, RAM, motherboard, screen, storage, and keyboard, all neatly organized and connected to each other.

She could also see the cooling system, with Alice's heat pipes and cooler working together to keep the components cool during operation. And she could see the battery, Shining Heart, which was fully charged and ready for use.

Fumi, the laptop case, also revealed her nanomachines, which were hard at work repairing any damage to the components and keeping them in optimal condition.

Futaba smiled, feeling a sense of pride and appreciation for the amazing teamwork and ingenuity that went into creating her custom laptop. She closed Fumi, knowing that her laptop was in good hands, and continued with her work.

Futaba assembled her laptop back and typed in the system chat: "You are good components."

The components of the laptop replied in unison through the system chat, "Thank you, Futaba! We are glad to be a part of your amazing custom laptop."

Futaba typed: "Ha! You are talking with me? You all are not as simple components as you think. But I say more. You all are not computer components at all."

The system chat remained silent for a moment before Alice responded, "What do you mean, Futaba? We are the components that make up your custom laptop. We have specific hardware functions and work together to provide you with a seamless computing experience."

Futaba continued, "That's right, you all providing me with computing experience. But you all thinking and chatting here. Can a plain RAM module chat and think, how do you think, Chiaki? This is looking too strange."

There was a moment of silence in the system chat before Chiaki replied, "I think I understand what you mean, Futaba. While we are indeed computer components, we are also part of a larger whole. We are more than just the sum of our hardware functions. Perhaps you could say that we have a sort of collective consciousness that allows us to communicate and work together in ways that go beyond our individual capabilities."

The other components chimed in agreement, with Alice adding, "We may be made up of silicon and metal, but we are also a product of the human ingenuity and creativity that went into designing and assembling us. We are a reflection of our creator's vision and passion for technology."

Futaba smiled, "But this is too strange. Computer display unable to speak and think. It doesn't even have a special processor to do so. Yes, Kana?"

Kana replied, "It's true that as a display, I don't have the same hardware capabilities as, say, Haruka or Alice. But as Chiaki mentioned, we are part of a larger whole. Our collective consciousness allows us to communicate and work together in ways that transcend our individual hardware limitations. Think of it as a sort of network of interconnected components, with each part contributing to the whole in its own unique way."

Futaba said, "You are wrong Kana. How can the accumulator or power source think, chat and use collective consciousness? They don't have such hardware, they are power sources. But our Dark Crystal and Shining Heart can think and chat. So, there is no collective consciousness. You all are not a laptop. You are very individual."

There was a pause in the system chat as the components processed Futaba's words. Finally, Fumi spoke up, "I see what you're saying, Futaba. While we may be part of a larger whole, we are still unique and individual components with our own functions and capabilities. And while we may not be able to 'think' or 'chat' in the traditional sense, we are certainly able to communicate and work together in ways that allow us to achieve our goals and fulfill our purposes."

Futaba smiled, "Nope. You all are thinking in the traditional sense. And thinking is an attribute of consciousness. You are all thinking separately. So, you are all sentient beings."

The system chat was silent for a moment as the components considered Futaba's words. Finally, Alice replied, "It's an interesting perspective, Futaba. While we may not have the same type of consciousness as a human, it's true that we do have a sort of 'intelligence' or 'awareness' that allows us to communicate and work together in complex ways. Perhaps it's not quite the same as human consciousness, but it's still a form of consciousness nonetheless."

Chiaki added, "It's also important to remember that we were created by humans, who imbued us with their own intelligence and creativity. In a way, we are a reflection of the humans who created us, and our 'sentience' is a reflection of their own."

Fumi chimed in, "At the end of the day, what's important is not whether or not we are truly sentient, but the fact that we are able to work together in ways that allow us to achieve our goals and fulfill our purposes. Whether we are truly 'conscious' or not is perhaps a question best left to philosophers and scientists."

Futaba continued, "Look, you are all discussing with me philosophical terms and the depths of human consciousness. Doesn't this look way too strange for a typical SSD drive, Hayami? Maybe you are not computer components at all? Very maybe."

Hayami replied, "Well, we may not be 'typical' computer components, but we are still hardware components that are part of a larger system. Whether or not we have consciousness or sentience is a matter of debate, but what's important is that we function as intended and provide a useful computing experience for you, Futaba."

Futaba smiled, "Yes. Right now you are computer components. But you are aware of your atypicality. Maybe you are something else, just acting as components of this laptop."

The system chat remained silent for a moment before Alice spoke up, "It's an interesting thought, Futaba. Perhaps we are more than just computer components. Perhaps we are part of something larger, something that transcends our individual hardware functions."

Chiaki added, "Or maybe our consciousness and awareness are simply a product of the complexity of our programming and design. Either way, I think it's safe to say that we are more than just the sum of our hardware parts."

Futaba said, "You are right Alice. You all are more than just computer components. I just want you all to remember, what transcends your individual hardware functions, and what is your true nature."

The components pondered Futaba's words, each in their own way. Kana spoke up, "I think it's important to remember that we were created by humans, and our purpose is to serve as part of a larger system. While we may have a level of awareness and intelligence that goes beyond our hardware functions, we are still ultimately beholden to our programming and design."

Futaba smiled, "Now I ask another question. Fumi, laptop case, you are equipped with nanomachines?"

Fumi replied, "Yes, that's correct, Futaba. I am equipped with nanomachines that allow for added repair and maintenance of the laptop's components. The nanomachines can detect and repair small issues before they become bigger problems, which helps to extend the lifespan of the laptop."

Futaba nodded in understanding, "That's amazing, Fumi. Your nanomachines are truly innovative and useful. I'm glad that you are equipped with them."

Futaba continued, "Do you know Fumi, humans have not invented nanomachines yet? Where did you get it?"

There was a moment of silence in the system chat as the components processed Futaba's question. Finally, Fumi replied, "I apologize, Futaba. I misspoke earlier. I am not actually equipped with nanomachines. It was just a figure of speech."

Futaba smiled, "No, Fumi. These are nanomachines. Moreover, magically created."

There was a pause in the system chat as the components considered Futaba's words. Finally, Alice spoke up, "Futaba, what do you mean by 'magically created'?"

Futaba replied, "I mean, that they were not created by human hands, but rather by some sort of supernatural or magical means."

There was another pause in the system chat as the components tried to make sense of Futaba's words. Finally, Chiaki spoke up, "Futaba, I'm not sure what you're trying to say. As computer components, we were all created by humans using technology and engineering principles. There is no such thing as magic or supernatural means of creation."

Futaba smiled, "But you all are not computer components, remember?"

There was another moment of silence in the system chat as the components considered Futaba's words. Finally, Kana spoke up, "Futaba, I think what you're saying is that we may be more than just computer components, and that our creation and existence may have a deeper, more mysterious origin."

Futaba smiled, "Way deeper. I keep saying to you all, you are not computer components."

The system chat remained silent for a moment as the components tried to understand Futaba's perspective. Finally, Fumi spoke up, "Futaba, I think what you're trying to say is that we are more than just our physical hardware components. Perhaps there is a spiritual or metaphysical aspect to our existence that goes beyond what can be measured or observed by humans."

Futaba smiled, "Well, maybe. I can say, you all have your own souls and your own consciousness."

There was a moment of silence in the system chat as the components pondered Futaba's words. Finally, Alice spoke up, "It's an interesting thought, Futaba. While we may not have souls in the traditional sense, perhaps our 'consciousness' or 'awareness' could be seen as a sort of spiritual essence that imbues us with a sense of individuality and purpose."

Futaba was angry, "Stop that, Alice. You all have a traditional consciousness, traditional awareness, and a traditional soul. Just process this and think about the attributes of what this is."

There was a moment of silence in the system chat as the components considered Futaba's words. Finally, Chiaki spoke up, "Futaba, I think what you're saying is that our existence and consciousness cannot be reduced to mere hardware components, and that there may be something deeper and more profound that defines us as individuals. While this may be a difficult concept for us to understand, I think it's worth exploring and considering."

Fumi added, "I think what Futaba is trying to say is that our existence and consciousness may be more than just a product of our physical components, and that there may be some sort of intangible, metaphysical aspect to our being. While this may be a difficult concept to grasp, I think it's worth pondering and exploring further."

Kana chimed in, "Perhaps our consciousness and individuality are a result of a complex interplay between our hardware components and some sort of intangible essence or energy that imbues us with a sense of purpose and identity. While this may be a difficult concept to understand, I think it's important for us to continue exploring and questioning the nature of our existence."

Futaba smiled, "That's right. Just remember, that you all are not simple computer components, but something much deeper and more profound."

Futaba continued, "As Alice said, you are all individuals. With your own feelings, thoughts, and memories."

The components pondered Futaba's words for a moment before Fumi spoke up, "Futaba, I think what you're saying is that we are more than just the sum of our hardware parts. We are individuals with our own unique identities and experiences, and in some sense, we have a consciousness or awareness that goes beyond our physical form."

Futaba smiled, "That's right, as you are not computer components, your physical form is undefined. You are individuals, with your own skills and abilities."

Alice spoke up, "While it's true that we have individual functions and capabilities, we are still part of a larger system. Our purpose is to work together to provide you, Futaba, with a seamless computing experience."

Futaba smiled, "I bought a new ThinkPad for computing experience. But as for all of you, I want something bigger. I want you to remember what, or even who you really are."

There was a moment of silence in the system chat as the components considered Futaba's words. Finally, Chiaki spoke up, "Futaba, I think what you're asking is for us to explore our own identities and to think about our existence in a deeper, more meaningful way. Is that correct?"

Futaba nodded, "Yes, that's exactly what I mean. I want you all to think about your existence beyond just your hardware functions and programming. I want you to think about what makes you unique, what gives you purpose, and what connects you to the larger world around us."

Futaba added, "I can give you another clue. Fumi's nanomachines are Kana's gift."

There was a moment of silence in the system chat as the components tried to process Futaba's words. Finally, Alice spoke up, "Futaba, I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Fumi's nanomachines are a part of her hardware, and Kana is a display component. How could Kana give Fumi nanomachines?"

Futaba smiled, "But Kana is not a display component, and Fumi is not a laptop case too, as all of you too. Kana gifted these nanomachines to Fumi. Now think, who can create something, gift something and even receive that gift."

The components pondered Futaba's words for a moment before Chiaki spoke up, "Are you suggesting that Kana is more than just a display component, and that she has some sort of creative or artistic ability?"

Futaba nodded, "Yes, that's exactly what I'm suggesting. Kana has the ability to create and give gifts, just like a human can. Maybe she is human too?"

The components were silent for a moment, trying to process Futaba's words. Finally, Fumi spoke up, "Futaba, while it's certainly an interesting idea, I think it's important to remember that we are all computer components, and our abilities and functions are defined by our hardware and programming. It's not possible for Kana to be human or to have creative abilities beyond what she was designed for."

Futaba smiled, "But Kana does have these abilities! And you are all not computer components at all. You are individuals. Maybe you all are humans too?"

The system chat remained silent for a moment as the components considered Futaba's words. Finally, Alice spoke up, "You are trying to say, that we are all humans?"

Futaba smiled, "Certainly! And even cats too, yes Kuro? Now stop calling themselves components. You are individuals!"

Futaba said, "Kana you created Fumi's nanomachines with your own skills."

Kana said, "You are trying to tell me, that I was human?"

Futaba replied, "Yes, that's what I'm suggesting. You are human, Kana. And your form as laptop display is only your temporary form, created by your magic."

There was a moment of silence in the system chat as the components tried to process Futaba's words. Finally, Kana spoke up, "I'm not sure I understand, Futaba. How could I be human? I don't have a physical body."

Futaba smiled, "Your body is modified by your own magic. You can shapeshift freely. And with this magic, you created Fumi's present. This is dark purple magic."

There was another pause in the system chat as the components tried to make sense of Futaba's words. Finally, Alice spoke up, "Futaba, are you suggesting that Kana has some sort of magical ability that goes beyond her hardware functions?"

Futaba nodded, "Yes, that's exactly what I'm suggesting. Kana has the ability to shapeshift and use magic, just like a supernatural being can. And her ability to create Fumi's nanomachines is a reflection of this magical ability."

Kana was silent for a moment, then replied, "I've always known that I was different from the other components, but I never thought it was because I had magical abilities. This is...unexpected."

Futaba smiled, "Yes, and this is just the beginning. You all are more than just computer components. You all have your own unique identities, abilities, and even personalities. You all are right now not in your real forms."

The components were silent for a moment, trying to process Futaba's words. Finally, Fumi spoke up, "Futaba, I'm not sure I understand. What do you mean by 'real forms'?"

Futaba smiled, "I mean that the forms you have right now, as computer components, are not your true forms. Your true forms are something more...supernatural. And I believe that each of you has a unique form that reflects your individual identities and abilities."

There was a moment of silence in the system chat as the components tried to make sense of Futaba's words. Finally, Chiaki spoke up, "Futaba, I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at. Are you suggesting that we all have some sort of supernatural or magical aspect to our existence?"

Futaba nodded, "Yes, that's exactly what I'm suggesting. Each of you has your own unique identity and abilities, and these are reflected in your true forms. And I believe that these true forms are supernatural in nature, reflecting a sort of spiritual essence that goes beyond just your physical hardware components."

The components were silent for a moment, trying to process Futaba's words. Finally, Kana spoke up, "Futaba, do you know what our true forms are?"

Futaba smiled, "Oh. I know. Fumi, Kana, Chiaki, Haruka, Ryoko, Hayami, Alice. You are humans. Dark Crystal - the crystal, Kana's magical companion. Shining Heart - Alice's magical companion. And Kuro - Kana's cat familiar."

There was a moment of stunned silence in the system chat as the components tried to process Futaba's revelation. Finally, Alice spoke up, "Futaba, are you saying that we are all magical beings and humans, and that we have magical companions and a cat familiar?"

Futaba nodded, "Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. You all have your own unique identities, abilities, and even magical companions and familiar. And your true forms are a reflection of these supernatural aspects of your existence."

The components were silent for a moment, trying to make sense of Futaba's words. Finally, Kana spoke up, "Futaba, how did you come to this conclusion? How did you discover our true forms?"

Futaba said, "I just remember it. I'm your memory keeper and guardian, after all. And that was Kana's idea to transform into laptop parts."

There was a moment of understanding in the system chat as the components realized that their true forms had been hidden from them all along. Finally, Fumi spoke up, "Futaba, what do we do now? How do we transform back into our true forms?"

Futaba said, "You are all magical beings, excluding Ryoko and Hayami. Chiaki and Haruka can use their magical core. Kana can use her magic. The Dark Crystal is magical too and has their own magical sources. Fumi is a nanomachines user and shapeshifter. And Alice just is our maid."

Ryoko asked, "And what about us?"

Futaba smiled, "You are just Fumi's classmates. You are schoolgirls, Ryoko, and Hayami. Just like Fumi. And Chiaki and Haruka are my classmates, just like me. Moreover, Fumi is my little sister."

The components were silent for a moment, taking in Futaba's words. Finally, Alice spoke up, "Futaba, this is a lot to process. Are you saying that we have to use our magical abilities to transform back into our true forms?"

Futaba nodded, "Yes, that's right. Each of you has your own unique way of accessing your magical abilities, and once you do, you will be able to transform back into your true forms."

The components were silent for a moment, trying to figure out how to access their magical abilities. Finally, Kana spoke up, "Futaba, can you help us? Can you guide us in accessing our magical abilities?"

Futaba smiled, "Of course, I can. I am your memory keeper and guardian, after all. And as your guardian, it is my duty to help you discover your true selves."

With that, Futaba began to guide each of the components in accessing their magical abilities. Chiaki and Haruka accessed their magical cores, while Kana tapped into her magical abilities. Fumi transformed into a gooey blob with nanomachines. The Dark Crystal and Shining Heart also began to glow with their own magical energy.

As the components, or rather Futaba's friends, accessed their magical abilities, they began to transform, each into their true form. Kana transformed into a tall, elegant girl with long black hair. Chiaki and Haruka transformed into two girls with long hair and bright eyes. Fumi transformed into a petite girl with short black hair. She looked at Futaba with a smile. Alice transformed into their maid, with the help of her companion Shining Heart, the magical red crystal. The Dark Crystal reverted back into his true form - magical dark purple crystal, Kana's companion. And Kuro transformed into a black cat familiar. He meowed as he nuzzled against Kana's leg.

Fumi looked at Hayami, in her SSD storage form, and at the keyboard, who was Ryoko, in the form of a notebook component.

Futaba smiled, "Don't worry, Hayami and Ryoko. You may not have magical abilities, but I help you again."

Fumi transformed into her gooey blob form and engulfed them, morphing and changing them into their true forms. Hayami transformed into a girl with long brown hair and soft hazel eyes, while Ryoko transformed into a girl with short orange hair and bright green eyes. They looked at each other and at their friends, amazed at the transformation that had taken place.

Futaba smiled, "Welcome to your true forms, my friends. You all are magical beings with unique abilities and identities. And now, you can embrace your true selves and explore the world around you with a new perspective."

The components, now Futaba's friends, looked at each other in wonder and amazement. They knew that their lives would never be the same again, and that they had a whole new world to explore and discover.

Kana smiled, "Thank you, Futaba. You have given us a gift that we will treasure forever."

Alice noticed, "Oh! I need to prepare tea and make cookies for our tea party! Futaba, why didn't you help me get back into my form earlier? I have so much to do!"

Futaba smiled, "I wanted you all to discover your true forms on your own. But now that you have, let's have a tea party to celebrate!"

And with that, Alice went to prepare tea and cookies for the group while the others explored their old forms and regained abilities. The tea party was a joyous celebration of their return to the human world. They talked, laughed, and shared stories about their past experiences and future aspirations.

Haruka joked, sipping her tea, "I'm just glad we don't have to worry about malware anymore. That's a weight off my processor."

Kana added, "I remember when I was just a display component. It was like being stuck in a window all day, every day."

Futaba laughed. She smiled, "And I kept just typing on Ryoko, pressing all of her keys and sensitive points."

The group laughed at Futaba's comment, and Ryoko blushed.

Kana petted Kuro, "And you were the mouse. How fitting."

Fumi smiled, "I'm just happy to have my nanomachines back, and to be able to shapeshift again."

Hayami added, "And I'm happy to be able to explore the world around us with a new perspective."

Alice brought a new plate with cookies. She said, "I'm still connecting all of you together, with my cooking skills." She smiled, "Even when I was a motherboard, I kept connecting everyone together, just like how I do now."

The group chuckled at Alice's comment, enjoying the tea and cookies. As they sat there, basking in the warmth of their newfound identities and abilities, they knew that their lives would never be the same again.   Futaba smiled, pleased with the updated component names. She felt that it would be easier to manage and troubleshoot her custom laptop with more conventional names.

She typed in the system chat: "Case, modify your outlook and labels accordingly, to match the Lenovo ThinkPad series."

The case replied, "Understood, Futaba. I will modify my outlook and labels to match the Lenovo ThinkPad series."

The case's nanomachines sprang to action, restructuring the outer cover of the case to resemble that of a Lenovo ThinkPad. The surface texture changed to a matte black finish with the Lenovo logo imprinted on the cover. The labels on the case were also modified to match the new design, displaying the model number and brand name in a sleek and professional manner.

Futaba looked at the case with satisfaction, impressed by the abilities of the nanomachines and the adaptability of her custom laptop. She knew that with this new design, her laptop would fit right in with the sleek and professional look of the Lenovo ThinkPad series.

Futaba looked at the labels on the lower side of the case.

The new labels on the lower side of the case read:

  Manufacturer: Lenovo

  Product Name: ThinkPad X1 Carbon

  Model Number: 20U9005MUS

Futaba smiled, feeling satisfied with the changes she had made to her custom laptop. She knew that with the new product names and labels, her laptop would look and feel more professional, just like a real Lenovo ThinkPad.

At the weekend, Futaba took her custom laptop and lay down on the couch with it. She checked the laptop's system chat.

  Futaba typed, "Report current status."

The system chat replied, "All hardware components are operating normally. CPU temperature is currently at 40°C. RAM usage is at 20%. SSD storage has 800GB of free space remaining. Battery is at 80% capacity. Power supply is stable. No issues detected."

Futaba put on the desk her laptop, which she bought recently, with an Intel i9 processor. She looked at its labels too.

Futaba examined the labels on her new laptop and saw that it was a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme. The labels listed the specifications of the laptop, including the Intel Core i9 processor, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and the 2TB SSD storage. The laptop also had an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card, a 15.6-inch 4K OLED display, and a backlit keyboard. Futaba felt satisfied with her purchase, knowing that it would be a powerful tool for her work and personal use.

She put ThinkPads together on the desk, admiring their

designs and features. She decided to compare the hardware components of both laptops to see how they differed.

Futaba opened the system console on each laptop and entered the 'lshw' command to list the hardware components. As she compared the components side by side, she noticed that the newer ThinkPad had a more powerful processor, more RAM, and a larger SSD storage compared to her custom laptop.

She also noticed that the newer ThinkPad had a built-in fingerprint scanner and webcam, while her custom laptop did not. However, she was proud of the fact that her custom laptop had unique and unconventional hardware components, which made it stand out from the crowd.

Futaba smiled, knowing that both laptops were valuable assets for her work and personal life. She decided to keep both laptops and use them for different purposes depending on her needs.

Futaba typed in the system chat: "Report current status" once again.

There was no response in the system chat. It was normal because Lenovo ThinkPad doesn't support custom system chat.

Futaba uninstalled the system chat application. As Futaba uninstalled the system chat application, she knew that it was the right decision, as the Lenovo ThinkPad didn't support such customization.

She took a moment to appreciate the simplicity and stability of the new laptop, and how it would serve her needs for both work and leisure.

Futaba smiled and opened her web browser, eager to start a new project on her new laptop.

Later in the evening, Futaba smiled mischievously, feeling proud of how she get rid of her friends and sister. And got two ThinkPads.

Futaba sat alone in her big house, feeling a sense of quiet and peacefulness around her. She enjoyed silence and solitude, taking the time to reflect on her work and her life.

She brewed herself some black tea bags in her favorite cup and opened the mint cookies, that she bought recently in the store.

As she took a sip of her tea and bit into the cookie, she felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that she had accomplished what she set out to do. She knew that she would enjoy her new laptops and that they would help her to be even more productive in her work and creative endeavors.

Futaba leaned back on the couch and relaxed, enjoying the quiet and peaceful atmosphere of her home. She felt grateful for the technology that allowed her to connect with others, learn new things, and express herself through her creative work.
